This $600,000 project consisted of the construction of two new MCC Substations — 24’ x 98’x 18’ eave height and 24’ x 86’ x 18’ eave height, with interior UPS battery rooms. The buildings consisted of a galvanized structural steel frame and metal decking with poured-in-place concrete roof deck. Roofing material was a 3-ply built-up roof system with stainless steel flashing, gutters and downspouts. A total of 25 tons of  air conditioning was installed. MOORE self-performed all work except roofing and HVAC. SHELL/FLUOR came to MOORE in the 3rd week of the original 14 week schedule and requested MOORE to “dry-in” and complete interior finishes to allow MCC equipment installation. MOORE worked 80-90 hours per week and completed the remaining 11 weeks of work in 4 weeks.
